Former France winger Franck Ribery has hailed youngster Michael Olise as he continues to impress at Bayern Munich.

Ribery has hailed Musiala, who has followed in his footsteps playing for both France and Bayern Munich since joining from Crystal Palace last summer.

Ribery, who played 425 times for Bayern between 2007 and 2019, said of his compatriot: “He is a very good player. It is not easy to join a big club when you are young and do not speak German, but he is doing very well.”
Asked if Olise could become the new Ribery, the 41-year-old replied: “I hope so.”
After seeing the success of Olise, Bayern are ready to further strengthen the wide positions in the summer by signing a young player. The Bavarian club has concrete interest in Jamie Gittens (Borussia Dortmund) and Nico Williams (Athletic Bilbao). Williams has a fixed release clause between €60-80 million in his contract, but Gittens will be expensive since he has several years left on his contract.
